Dr. Apoorva Ayachit is a consultant in the Vitreoretina services department at M.M. Joshi Eye Institute, where she received her ophthalmology training from Maulana Azad Medical College, New Delhi. Following her MS in Ophthalmology, she completed her fellowship in Vitreoretinal Surgery at M.M. Joshi Eye Institute under the mentorship of Dr. Guruprasad A. Ayachit and Dr. Shrinivas Joshi. Dr. Apoorva has acquired additional qualifications, including Diplomate of National Board (DNB), Fellowship of the International Council of Ophthalmology (FICO) from ICO, London (2016), and Fellow of the All India Collegium of Ophthalmologists in Vitreoretina (FAICO-VR). Besides being a passionate clinician, she is an avid researcher, with over 25 publications and eight book chapters in prestigious international journals. Her research has garnered several national and international awards, and she serves as an editor for the Indian Journal of Ophthalmology while also being the academic in-charge for the National Young Ophthalmologists’ Forum.
